The world of craft beer is awesome!!! FUCK Budweiser!!!!
They will exist as ,ong as they have NASCAR and shit. But who cares?!?
I don't, since I discovered craft beers I don't have the time for commercial beers, it is just not going to happen, there is no reason to do so.
I love craft beers, it is about the thought process, the mixture of different ingredients, the name, label design, and of course, THE TASTE!!!
I have an app, called untappd, where I keep track of the beers I drink, I will post there and here from now on, with pictures and all.
If you are reading this and want to follow me on untappd be my guest. Rolando Nunez is the name.
I will start by saying that my favorite beer in the world is Guinness, I know is a commercial beer, and it is a stout, and this is coming from an IPA lover. But Guinness was my first taste of different beers. I can't recall if I had my first Guinness with Michael Cohen, a very dear friend, my brother, or if I had it with someone else, but over the years I have enjoyed it more and more. And whenever I feel lost in the beer world, whenever I try to focus, I go back to that, and always like it!!!!
Now, I am not a beer critic, nor a beer connoisseur, but I have tried a decent amount of beers, craft beers, and I have developed what I like to call the Manaldo Scale. The Manaldo scale is based upon appearance, smell, taste (has to do with how happy makes me feel) and of course quality of buzz.
At the end, the Manaldo Scale will determine if the beer in question is fridge worthy, meaning, does it deserve to go in my fridge, has it earned her spot in Manaldo's fridge??
That is yet to be determined.
Let the games of drinking craft beer begin!!!!
BEER NUMBER 1
This one is called Solera, made in Venezuela, it is a pilsener. I grew up with this stuff, and even though it is not craft, I still love it. It is weak, tasteless, stinky and shitty, but it tastes like home. So everytime I go back (I live in Chicago) I have a few, just a few, I like the first two, then I start cursing due to the weakness of this puppy. So I dedicate my first blog entrance to SOLERA from Polar, shit I grew up with, and shit I still happen to love!!!
MANALDO'S SCALE: 1 fridge out of 5...just because I got a lot of tail when I was young drinking this cat's piss, sorry Solera!!!
